Each year we have a "Camp Sunday" to raise money for the scholarships for children. We have an auction with a real auctioneer and are able to raise funds from items donated by the congregation. It is a fun time and allows us to help more children.
This year the Auction raised nearly $4,000 to go towards "Camperships" (camp scholarships) to help families subsidize the cost of attendance.

RUPERT LABOR DAY FAMILY CAMP AT CAMP SAWTOOTH
Rupert Labor Day Family Camp is a 3-4 day weekend of faith, fun, games, hiking, crafts and much more. Camp officially starts on Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend but camp is open for those that like to come up on Friday. If arriving on Friday you will need to provide your own dinner as camp meals start Saturday morning.
Cabins are available for individuals and families to stay in. Cabins have bunk beds but no electricity. There are bathrooms in the cabin areas that have electricity, flush toilets and hot showers. There is also a camp area that can accommodate campers and tents. There are electric and water hookups.
The main lodge has electricity, running water and the camp kitchen where all meals are prepared. Everyone is encouraged to sign up to help with at least one meal prep and one kitchen clean up after meals. All food for the weekend is provided by the camp fund. There is a charge per person according to age. This fee pays for the use of the camp. Campers are allowed to bring snacks and drinks for use in cabins and/or lodge. There is a snack table in the kitchen where those who want to share snacks can put their contributions for anyone to have at any time. Coffee, ice tea and hot chocolate is available at all times.
Some of the activities during the weekend are bible study, crafts, pretzel making, homemade ice cream making, games, corn hole tournament, hiking, biking, swimming in the river (it is very cold), relaxing, napping, Sunday Service at outdoor chapel, and just enjoying the great outdoors in a great place.
Speak with Terri Bruns or Chris Paulson to sign up.
